The Creation of Thirst for Freedom II

The painting Thirst for Freedom II has passed through many stages — from a childhood dream in 2001 Moscow, Russia, where the first gouache drawing on paper was created, to the first oil painting begun in Santiago de Chile in 2016. The canvas was completed in Spain in 2017.

Later, the 2017 version no longer satisfied me visually, and in 2026 I reworked the painting completely, covering the earlier image with a renewed and more accomplished composition.
